141 coronavirus cases confirmed in tests carried out in Narayani Hospital



BIRGUNJ: As many as 141 — 120 males and 21 females — people were found COVID-19 positive in the PCR tests carried out at the Narayani Hospital Birgunj.

According to Dr. Madan Upadhyaya, the Medical Superintendent at the Narayani Hospital, 141 reports came out coronavirus positive carried out last night.

Dr. Upadhyaya informed that out while 133 are from Parsa district, Bara and Rautahat districts have 4 cases each.

Among the cases, 44 are policemen and inmates in the district police office.

Dr. Upadhyaya added that 5 from Nepal Army, 2 from Birgunj jail, one from Terai Hospital and one each from Veterinary Hospital and National Medical College have reported COVID-19 positive.

Birgunj-25, Sirsiya Tole alone confirmed 22 coronavirus cases. Likewise, Parsagadhi Municipality saw 2 new cases of COVID-19.
