Nepal’ COVID-19 count reaches 16,168 with 204 fresh cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday said that 204 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours across the country.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, during a regular press briefing, stated that the COVID-19 count has reached 16,168 with the addition of the new cases.

According to him, 6,133 samples were tested through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method in the past 24 hours.

Currently, 25,727 people are in quarantine centers and 8,634 undergoing treatment in isolation.

Meanwhile, 688 COVID-19 patients were discharged from different hospitals and isolation centers. So far, 7,499 people have been discharged across the country after recovery.

Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 35.
