Sandeep Lamichhane signs 10 mln contract with CPL

KATHMANDU: National cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has signed a contract with Jamaica Tallawahs.

Jamaica Tallawahs selected Lamichhane in the second round for the season of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 on Sunday.

According to espncricinfo.com, Lamichhane signed a contract with Jamaica Tallawahs for around US$130,000. Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, Australian batsman Ben Dunk are selected for the team, said espncricinfo.com.

This is the third time Lamichhane is signing the contract for the CPL. Earlier, Lamichhane had participated in the CPL representing St Kitts And Nevis Patriots and Barbados Tridents.

Lamichhane had last year quit the CPL in the middle since he had to play from the national team.

Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Oshane Thomas, Glenn Phillips are involved in Jamaica Tallawahs.
