Coronavirus confirmed after funeral in Kailali

KAILALI: Coronavirus has been confirmed in the district following completion of the funeral rites of a deceased.

The local administration has started a search for those involved in the funeral procession.

The last rites of a 55-year-old woman of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-4, who lost her life in the dialysis ward of Seti Provincial Hospital on Friday, were done on Saturday morning.

However, after the funeral, the report of the deceased was found to be positive, causing panic among the family and locals.

Ward Chairman of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-4 Deepak Kumar Thapa Chhetri said that the deceased was cremated on Saturday morning.

According to Chhetri, about 45 people were present at the funeral of the deceased.

The Kailali Health Office is currently conducting tracing. All the participants in the funeral are being searched for contact tracing.
