Coronavirus infection cases climb to 49, 400 in India

KATHMANDU: India has reported 1, 693 deaths after 127 died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning. With 2,963 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 49, 400.

Currently, 33, 565 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 14, 142 have returned home after recovery.

The India government has performed tests on 1,191,946 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 258,003 and infecting 3,724,144 people as of Wednesday morning.
