British PM hospitalized 10 days after he tested positive

KATHMANDU:  British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital 10 days after he tested positive.

He was taken to hospital with ‘persistent symptoms’ on Sunday evening as per the suggestion of his doctor, informed Downing Street.

Prime Minister is himself taking the responsibility of the government. However, the meeting on coronavirus slated for Monday morning will be chaired by the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Dominic Raab.

“British Prime Minister has been hospitalized as per the suggestions of his personal doctor after symptoms of coronavirus continued for 10 days,” said a press statement issued by Downing Street.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Johnson has thanked all the staffers of National Health Service (NHS) for their rigorous efforts in combating the deadly virus and urged one and all to stay at home.
