CIAA’s move on Lalita Niwas scam ridiculous: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has remarked that the filing of a case on Lalita Niwas land scam as prejudicious and ridiculous.

Making public his remarks on Thursday, Thapa said that the decision of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to acquit son of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) General Secretary Bishnu Poudel, Nabin Poudel is prejudicious and ridiculous.

The decision has raised questions over the fairness of the investigation, he said.

The anti-graft body on Wednesday had filed the graft case against 110 persons including former ministers for the land grab scam.
