Machhindra beats Saraswati 6-1 to keep hope alive for ‘A’ Division League title

KATHMANDU: Machhindra Club defeated Saraswati Youth Club 6-1 on Thursday to keep its dream alive for the first-ever Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League title.

Deepak Rai scored a brace in the 54th and 39th minutes of the game for Machhindra. Devendra Rai scored in the 39th minute of the game as Bishal Rai A added another goal in 59th minutes of the game.

Likewise, Somide Adeleja and Andreas Nia scored a goal each for Machhindra in the injury time of the second half.

Kazeem scored one for Saraswati through a spot in 86th minute.

With the win, Machhindra has moved top of the points table garnering 25 points.

Tribhuvan Army Club has been placed second in the points table with 23 points.
