IBC gets over Rs 30 million grant

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has provided Rs 30.169 million in grant for the construction of Dhamma hall of International Buddhist Center (IBC).

KMC mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya provided the amount to chairperson of the Center, Pratik Ratna Tamrakar. On the occasion, mayor Shakya said that the KMC has been carrying out activities for infrastructure development, city service management and reconstruction of heritages.

Saying the financial assistance provided by the KMC has extended for the development of the Center, Chair Tamrakar urged the KMC to waiver house and land tax of the Center.

Established in 2042 BS, the Center has been carrying out social activities and activities for promotion of Buddhism.
