Gandaki Province records three COVID-19 deaths

POKHARA: Gandaki Province has recorded three coronavirus related deaths.

According to Gandaki Province Directorate of Health, two women and a man succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.

A 66-year-old woman from Pokhara Metropolis-17 died while undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara at around 5:21 am on Sunday.

Likewise, a 43-year-old woman from Besisahar-14 breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the same hospital on Saturday. She was also suffering from insulin-dependent diabetics mellitus with burn with secondary infection.

The Health Directorate added that a 34-year-old man from Pokhara-17 also died of the coronavirus infection on Saturday at Charak Memorial Hospital, Pokhara. The man was also suffering from chronic kidney disease and hypertension.

With the new deaths, the coronavirus death toll in the province has reached 169.
