KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has congratulated Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah for assuming the post of Emir of Kuwait.
In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, President Bhandari said that relations between Nepal and Kuwait are very friendly since the establishment of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
She also expressed the belief that the existing bilateral relations would be further strengthened in days ahead.
President Bhandari also wished for continuous progress and prosperity of Kuwait and the people of Kuwait. Diplomatic relations between Nepal and Kuwait were established in 1972.
