Lalitpur reports 3,200 plus coronavirus cases



LALITPUR: The total number of coronavirus cases in Lalitpur district has reached 3,262, the District Public Health Office has said on Tuesday.

Among them, as many as a 1,803 infected ones have been discharged.

Currently, there are 1,430 active coronavirus cases. In Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the number of active cases is 879 and 21 fatalities, according to Spokesperson of the Metropolitan City Raju Maharjan.

Among the active cases, 812 are in home isolation and 67 in hospitals.

Of the total 203 cases in Lalitpur’s Godavari Municipality, 132 people got discharged and six succumbed to the virus.

Likewise, the tally of infected people reached 408 in Mahalaxmi Municipality and 235 individuals were discharged while two people died of the virus in the municipality, Information Technology Officer Santosh Pokhrel said.

The number of cases in Bagmati, Mahankal and Konjyosom rural municipalities is minimal, officials said.
