ANFA, APF agree to work together for football development

KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Armed Police Force (APF) have agreed to work together for the overall development of football in the country.

During a program at the APF headquarters in Halchowk today, the two sides agreed to work in tandem towards the growth of grassroot level, youth development and capacity building of the game.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa said the football governing body was focusing on youth development to ensure a better future of Nepali football. “We have forwarded plans to make our youth system better. It will ultimately help in our goal to develop Nepali football,” said Sherpa.

ANFA Vice President Upendra Man Singh presented the plan during the programme.

Also speaking at the programme, APF Inspector General (IG) Shailendra Khanal said they were very positive towards the plan presented by ANFA towards developing football in the country.

He said APF would be happy to make a contribution towards the development of Nepali football in the country.
