Five arrested with 26 kg opium



KATHMANDU: Five persons have been arrested from Jajarkot and Rukum (West) along with 26 kg of opium.

Police have arrested two persons from Nalgad Municipality-2 in Jajarkot with 10 kg of opium and Rs 51,960 in cash.

The arrested are Man Bahadur Bista, 42, of Nalgad -3 and Harichandra Dangi, 55, of Tatopani Rural Municipality-5 in Jumla.

A joint police team from Karnali State Police Office, District Police Office and Area Police Office, Dalli arrested them.

Similarly, police have arrested three persons, including Prem Bahadur Singh, 37, of Nalgad Municipality-9 of Jajarkot with 16 kg of opium from Rukum (West).

Police from Karnali Province Police Office, Narcotics Control Bureau and District Police Office Rukum (West) caught them.
