Doc at Bir Hospital tests COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus has been confirmed in a doctor working at Bir Hospital on Thursday.

According to Dr. Kedar Century, Director of the hospital, the 47-year-old doctor working at the hospital has been confirmed to have contracted coronavirus.

His swab was collected this morning and tested at the laboratory of the hospital, he said, adding that the report received this evening showed him positive for the coronavirus.

Dr. Century said that his swab sample was collected after he had a fever and diarrhea.

He has been kept in the isolation of the hospital, said Dr. Century, adding that four other doctors and health workers who came in contact with him have been quarantined.
