56-year-old man succumbs to coronavirus in Birgunj

Nepal’s death toll from pandemic hits 66



BIRGUNJ: Coronavirus has been confirmed in a man who died while undergoing treatment at Gandak Hospital on Thursday morning.

Medical Superintendent of Narayani Hospital Dr. Madan Kumar Upadhyaya said that the coronavirus report of a 56-year-old man from Birgunj-10 has come positive.

The man was admitted to Gandak COVID Hospital under Narayani Hospital on Tuesday after he was diagnosed with respiratory problems.

He was put on a ventilator after his health condition had worsened.

With the death, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 66. However, the Ministry of Health and Population is yet to come up with a formal announcement.
