10 more cops at Nepal Police Headquarters test COVID-19 positive

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 10 more police personnel deployed at the Naxal-based Nepal Police Headquarters.

With the fresh cases, the number of cops infected at the Police Headquarters has reached 85.

Nepal Police Spokesperson SSP Kuber Kadayat said that contact tracing is being carried out after the coronavirus infection was detected at the headquarters, adding that the new cases were identified in course of the contact tracing.

They have been admitted to the Armed Police Force Hospital in Balambu and are in normal health condition.

A total of 200 police personnel have contracted the coronavirus across the country and among them, 119 have recovered.
