The NCP intra-party feud has deepened further after the Oli and Dahal-Nepal camps did not budge away from their respective stances. The Dahal-Nepal camp has long been demanding Oli’s resignation at least from one of his posts.

On the other hand Oli wants to have a graceful exist by handing over the post of chairmanship through the general convention of the party and wants to the lead the government until term of the existing House of Representatives.

The Standing Committee meeting of the party has been deadlocked after several meetings between Oli and Dahal in the past ended without striking any chords.
