Leopard attack claims toddler in Tanahun



DAMAULI: A toddler has died after being attacked by a leopard in Shuklagandaki municipality-2, Masar of Tanahun district.

The deceased has been identified as one and a half years old Narayan Rana, the son of Bishnu Bahadur Rana, a local, informed Police Inspector Jagadish Regmi of Area Police Office, Belchautara.

“It seems that the leopard picked the toddler from the courtyard of the house itself. The limbs of the child were found in the jungle around two kilometers away from the house on Wednesday night,” Regmi said.

According to locals, the leopard must have attacked the child in the evening.

Children have died in the leopard attack in Shuklagandaki municipality in the past.
