Kathmandu Valley reports 102 coronavirus cases in a single day



KATHMANDU: As many as 102 people were infected with the coronavirus in the Kathmandu Valley in a single  day.

Senior Public Health Officer Uttam Koirala at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Kathmandu told Khabarhub that a total of 102 people tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.

“As many as 62 people were reported to have been infected on the live report released at 4:15 pm and additional 40 were confirmed infected at 7 pm on Wednesday,” said Koirala.

According to Koirala, most of those infected are from Pradesh 2 and Indian returnees.

Some of them were found infected through contact tracing, with most of them living in Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, Koirala has urged people living in Kathmandu to strictly follow safety measures saying that the coronavirus is gradually gripping the capital.

He has advised people not to go to crowded area, wear masks and not to come out of their houses except for emergency cases.
