NC decides to hold General Convention on announced date



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold its General Convention on the stipulated date of February 19-22, 2021.

Though all the activities of the party were halted for three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a meeting of Central Working Committee of the main opposition party decided to hold the central General Convention on the earlier announced date.

A meeting that concluded today has decided to revise the schedule of the province, district, constituency, municipality and ward level conventions.

General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka had presented a revised schedule in the meeting.

In the new proposed schedule for the General Convention, it is mentioned that the entire list should be submitted to the Election Committee by December 15 after completing the process of renewal, distribution and investigation of active membership.

It has directed the subordinate local bodies to distribute the active membership and renew it by August 16 and send the list of members to the center by September 16.

The deadline for filing a complaint against the active membership is October 16, November 16 for appeal and December 10 for resolving all disputes.
