Mahalaxmi Municipality to announce labor-based employment program



LALITPUR: Lalitpur’s Mahalaxmi Municipality is set to deploy daily wagers in the development construction to ensure that the workers who are facing hardship during the ongoing lockdown get two square meals.

The Municipality has come up with the idea to facilitate the daily wagers for the management of the expenses.

Mayor Rameshwor Shrestha stated that the Municipality is beginning the employment program for the welfare of the daily wage earners.

Shrestha has appealed to all unemployed persons and laborers to establish contacts in the concerned ward offices and participate in the labor-based employment program.

He said that the Municipality’s move will help in ending hunger among the poor and underprivileged communities during crisis.
