Hoax bomb found at Sinamangal, disposed

KATHMANDU: Nepal Army has said the suspicious object found at Sinamangal in the capital on Tuesday morning was a hoax bomb.

The bomb-looking object placed at the settlement of landless squatters was not a pressure cooker bomb, confirmed SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

“A pressure cooker was found at the settlement of landless squatters. A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army has disposed it. Few pebbles were found inside the pressure cooker,” said Gyawali.

Locals had informed the police after they witnessed the suspicious object in their vicinity this morning.
