Lockdown in pics: Kathmandu on Day 13



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has declared lockdown as a measure to curb the wide-spreading pandemic COVID-19 since March 24.

All the educational institutions are closed, the industries are shutdown and OPD service in hospitals is stalled till further notice.

The streets are almost empty. Very few vehicles carrying essential goods are seen plying the streets.

With the increase in COVID-19 cases, the government seems to get much strict in ‘lockdown’ enforcement.

But for a few fruit and vegetable shops, almost all the shops in the main streets are closed.

Few people come out in the streets in the morning and evening. Environmentally, the city seems to regain former cleanliness.
