Three including Uttam Sanjel’s wife acquitted



KATHMANDU: Three including the wife of the operator of the Bouddha-based Samata Hospital Uttam Sanjel, Kala have been acquitted in abetment to suicide case.

A single bench of Judge Kamal Prasad Pokharel at Kathmandu District Court gave a clean chit Kala, hospital employee Tirtha Kumari and Sangita in the case.

Earlier, the court had acquitted Sanjel of the charge.

Bimala Tamang, 27, of Ramechhap district who was working as a cleaner at the hospital was found dead, hanging from the ceiling of the hospital building on June 18.

Police had lodged the case against them accusing them of abetting the suicide after Tamang had mentioned their names in the suicide note.
