ICC WC League 2: Nepal takes 9 wickets of Oman in 47.4 overs

KATHMANDU: Nepal has taken nine wickets of Oman in its opening match under triangular series of the ICC World Cup League underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal grabbed seven wickets of Nepal in 47.4 overs.

Karan KC took two wickets for Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airee took the third wicket sending Aqib Ilyas to pavilion. Oma has made 170 runs by losing nine wickets in 47.4 overs.

Sushan Bhari has taken highest three wickets giving away 14 runs, Karan KC grabbed wickets and while Dipendra Singh Airee one wicket so far. With the continuous loss of wickets, Oman is under pressure.

Nepal is playing the first series at its home ground after it got recognition of One Day Series. Earlier, Oman had made 57 runs losing five wickets in 19 overs.

This is an important game as it determines the 2023 cricket journey of Nepal
