Two Indians arrested with gold, diamond at TIA

KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested two Indian nationals with gold and diamond at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The arrested are Mohammad Medin and Kotakuth Kijhakithil with 599-gram gold and 202-gram diamond.

They were arrested by a joint team of Airport Security Police and Metropolitan Crime Division. They had hidden the gold and diamond in their rectum.

Police said they had arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai.

On January 3, two Indian nationals were arrested from TIA with one kilogram of gold.

Meanwhile, last Tuesday, police had arrested an Indian national with half kilogram gold from the airport.

Similarly, last Thursday, two Indian nationals were nabbed with one-kilogram gold.
