Parliamentary committee endorses Nirala as JC member



KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee today endorsed the nomination of Laxmi Bahadur Nirala to the post of member of the Judicial Council (JC).

The parliamentary committee endorsed Nirala’s nomination after conducting a hearing. Nirala has already served as an Attorney General.

Nirala’s endorsement was made as the committee did not receive any complaints against his candidacy.

Nirala was recommended to the post after JC member Padam Prasad Baidik resigned on December 5.
