Snowfall obstructs power, telephone service in Dadeldhura



DADELDHURA: Heavy snowfall has cut off the power supply and communication channel from the rural parts with the district headquarters.

Snowfall since Thursday has obstructed the internet and other modes of communication while power supply comes to a halt.

Efforts are being made to resume the power supply, said Nepal Electricity Authority, Dadeldhura.

As a result, the Ganyadhura, Nawadurga, Alital and Bhageswar rural municipalities, Amargadhi municipality and Parshuram Municipality remain without power for the past three days.

Furthermore, public transportation service to and from the rural parts of the district remain affected, the Dadeldhura transport private limited said.

Shiva Raj Bohara of Telecom Office, Dadeldhura said all possible efforts are being made to resume the communication service as soon as possible.
