NCP Vice-chair Gautam rejects proposal to head task force for dispute resolution



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat member Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal during a meeting on Saturday proposed to find a solution to the crisis by forming a task force.

Secretary-General Bishnu Poudel had supported Thapa’s proposal during discussions.

According to a Secretariat member, then Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli also called the proposal very good and requested Vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam to head the task force.

However, Gautam said that he will not get involved in the taskforce, arguing that such taskforce will not find a solution to the crisis the party is currently facing.
