COVID-19: Province 2 sees 43 cases, five deaths



JANAKPURDHAM: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 43 more people in Province 2 on Thursday, while five people succumbed to the pandemic.

A test conducted at the Provincial Public Health Laboratory Janakpur, Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital Birgunj, Gaur Hospital, Rautahat, and Gajendra Narayan Sagarmatha Hospital, Rajbiraj confirmed the infection in 43 people including 12 women and 31 men, said Vijay Kumar Jha, Acting Director of the Health Directorate.

Nine cases have been found in Saptari, eight in Dhanusha, six in Siraha, four in Rautahat, three each in Mahottari and Parsa, one in Sarlahi, and two outside the Province.

Meanwhile, 90 people got discharged after recovery, taking total recovered cases to 14,611.
