Province 1 records 164 fresh COVID-19 cases 



BIRATNAGAR: A total of 164 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Province 1 in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, there are 105 new cases in Sunsari, 52 in Morang, two in Jhapa, one each in Taplejung, Dhankuta, and Tehrathum, and two out of the province.

According to the ministry, 57 people have been infected in Itahari of Sunsari district. Among those infected are 22 women and 35 men.

Likewise, 26 women and 15 men in Dharan, one woman and one man in Koshi Rural Municipality, one man each in Duhabi and Barahakshetra, and three men of undisclosed local levels tested positive for the pandemic virus.

A total of 22 women and 15 men in Biratnagar of Morang, two women and three men in Milkajung, four men in Budhiganga, two in Jahda, in each in Katahari, Kerabari, Sunbarshi, and Belbari, one woman in Damak, and one of the undisclosed local level of Jhapa have been found positive.

Likewise, a man in Phaktanglung of Taplejung and one woman in Dhankuta, one man from Myanglung of Tehrathum, two men outside the province have been diagnosed positive.

With the cases, total cases in the province have reached 7,775.
