COVID-19 death toll hits 100 in Province 2

JANAKPURDHAM: With two more death cases on Saturday, the number of coronavirus deaths in Province 2 has reached 100.

According to Bijaya Jha, a Senior Public Health Administrator of Health Directorate of Province 2, the deaths were
reported in Parsa.

A 75-year-old man of Mainpur-2 and a 77-year-old man of Birgunj-10, Adarshnagar have succumbed to COVID on Saturday.

The Province claims that most of the deceased are the people with some chronic health hazards.

Out of 100 death cases in the province, 38 are from Parsa, 15 from Bara, 12 from Dhanusha, 10 from Mahottari and eight each from Siraha and Saptari districts.

Rautahat and Sarlahi witnessed five and three death cases, respectively.

An Indian national has also died of coronavirus pandemic while undergoing treatment in Dhanusha.

Out of 104,058 swabs collected in the Province, 11,061 have got COVID-19 positive report. The Ministry informed that the report of 4,745 is still to come.
