More than 87,000 infected in a single day in India



KATHMANDU: More  than 87,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in India in a single day.

Until the filing of this report, the number of coronavirus cases has rached 4,020,239 after 87,115 cases were detected in the past 24 hours.

This is the highest number of infection cases  in Asia and the third in the world after Brazil and America.

Among those infected, 3,104,512 have recovered from the virus while 846,092 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers across the country.

Likewise, the number of deaths from coronavirus has crossed 69,000 in the country. With 1,066 new deaths in a single day, the number of deaths in India has reached 69,635,according to Worldometer.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus has killed 878,075 and infected 26,772,989 across the world.
