Sexagenarian succumbs to COVID-19 in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A sexagenarian undergoing treatment at the Balambu-based Armed Police Force (APF) Hospital in Kathmandu succumbed to coronavirus in Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon.

A 65-year-old female from Malangawa of Sarlahi district passed away today, Spokesperson of the hospital SP Dr Prabin Nepal confirmed.

She was admitted to a local hospital after he complained of fever. However, she was later shifted to the Man Mohan Hospital, Swayambhu last Friday after his health deteriorated.

Her swab was taken for test the same day, according to Dr Nepal adding that her report came out positive on Sunday.

She was then referred to APF Hospital where she was kept and treated on a ventilator.
