Obstructed Karnali Highway resumes

KARNALI: Traffic has resumed on the Karnali Highway that was obstructed by landslides at various places following clearance of debris, said the road division office, Jumla.
The Highway was blocked by the landslips at approximately 50 places. “There are difficulties for vehicles and travellers to cross local Takulla river along the Highway for want of a bridge,” said the division office chief Lila Bahadur Bhandari.
Local vegetable trader Thamma Prasad Acharya of Khandachakra municipality in Kalikot blamed government of all three levels for not focusing on upgrading of the road, thus troubling passengers time and again. RSS
