Bikash Malla appointed as national team goalkeeper coach



KATHMANDU: Bikas Malla has been designated the goalkeeper coach of the Nepali national football team.

The technical committee of the Nepal Football Association (ANFA) nominated Malla as the new goalkeeper coach.

Earlier, Malla had served the national football squad as an important team member.

He was also the former captain and goalkeeper of the Tribhuvan Army Club of Nepal Army.

Malla had played football from national team from 2005 to 2013. He was the product of ANFA Academy.

ANFA said Malla will replace Japanese goalkeeper coach Hero Mitsumaru in the national team.

Malla has been designated the responsibility of the goalkeeper coach in view of the FIFA World Cup, 2022 and AFC Asian Cup, 2023.
