Eight micro buses reduced to ashes in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: As many as eight micro buses were damaged when a fire broke out in the garage at Gongabu in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The fire that erupted at around 3:00 am burnt down the vehicles run on rental by Rajendra Aryal of Tokha-3 in Kathmandu.

The land where the garage was built is owned by Matakaji Shrestha of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, according to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

The fire incurred damages worth Rs 500 million, informed SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali.

Since the incident is suspicious, police have begun investigation into it. One micro caught the fire which later flared to four others, the police estimated.

The fire was put out by the security personnel and locals after three hours.
