KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association (FNNTEA) has clarified that there has not been any decision taken on resuming public transport from July 5, brushing off reports about it.

No decision has been taken in this regard so far although talks between the government and transport workers and entrepreneurs were underway to resume public transport across the country, read a statement issued by the FNNTEA General Secretary Saroj Sitaula.

The FNNTEA has asked the government to become serious about predicaments facing transport entrepreneurs and workers and passengers as public transport that has been halted across the country since lockdown on March 24 is yet to reopen.

Uncertainty looms to resume public transport as the government has officially enforced nationwide lockdown until July 22, read the statement.
