Ambulance impounded for brown sugar smuggling



DANG: The police have taken the ambulance run by Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries(FNCCI) in control for smuggling brown sugar in Dang this Thursday evening.

The ambulance, Ra 1 Cha 389. run by FNCCI Tulsipur was taken in police control at Damargaun of Tulsipur-Amilia road while coming from Kohalpur to Tulsipur last evening in allegation of drug trafficking.

After finding brown sugar in the ambulance, the police have taken 3 including the driver of the ambulance in custody.

According to the police, the arrested are driver Tilak BK of Dangi Sharan Rural Municipality-6, Shree Gaun, Shankar Pun of Ghorahi-13, Badahara and Tulsipur and Deepa Thapa of Tulsipur-5.

According to the police, 6.7mg of brown sugar was seized from the arrested.

This is the second time the police have nabbed brown sugar in ambulance Tulsipur.

A few years back, the police had taken an ambulance carrying brown sugar in control from Gumrah chowk, Tulsipur.

Tulsipur police are investigating further to explore the network of traffickers.
