KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Dayaram Dahal as Chairperson of the Film Development Board.

A meeting of the cabinet Thursday evening made the decision to appoint film director Dahal to the Board – which is a government authority responsible to regulate and develop the movie industry.

The government had then called for applications for the position.
