CM Gurung stresses environment-friendly development



POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has emphasized the need to develop tourism city Pokhara as a town of parks.

Speaking at a program at Palikhechowk in Pokhara, he pitched for the environment-resilient development of Pokhara.

Gurung said environmental cleanliness is one of the indicators of Pokhara’s panoramic natural beauty.

He also underscored the need for developing tourism conserving environment side by side.

There is no alternative to conserve environment to hand over the scenic beauty of Pokhara to the generation to come, he highlighted, calling for collective efforts for the conservation and development of the city of treasure.

Pokhara metropolis mayor Man Bahadur GC said the area was made spacious as part of the campaign of the beautification of the city.
