PM Oli attends NAM virtual summit

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli today attended the inaugural session of the virtual summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) being held under the theme of “United against COVID-19”.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyav, who is also the Chairman of the NAM, inaugurated the Summit.

At the Summit, discussions were held on prevention and control of coronavirus, ongoing efforts to contain it and shared responsibilities of the world community and the role of the NAM.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali and PM’s chief advisor Bishnu Rimal and other high-level officials also attended the Summit.

Established in 1961, NAM is a common forum of 120 countries that are not aligned to any of the global power.
