Curfew issued in Nepalgunj to curb coronavirus



NEPALGUNJ: A curfew order has been issued in Nepalgunj of Banke district following a surge in the number of COVID-19 patients.

District Administration Office, Banke has issued the curfew order to be implemented in all wards of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis.

The curfew order has been issued from 11 am on Tuesday to midnight on Thursday, said Assistant Chief District Officer Dirgharaj Upadhyaya.

“A curfew order has been issued with effect from tomorrow to prevent the further spread of the disease,” Upadhyaya told Khabarhub. “The order has been issued from Tuesday till Thursday midnight.”

No one will be allowed to leave the house after the curfew order is issued.

Assistant Chief District Officer Upadhyaya informed that the security personnel would immediately arrest any person who comes out from the house and take action as per the law.

So far, 16 people have been infected with coronavirus in Nepalgunj.
