Rain amidst thunderstorms, lightning forecast today



KATHMANDU:  Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted generally to mostly cloudy weather throughout the country today.

According to Barun Paudel, a meteorologist, the weather will remain mostly cloudy throughout the country with chances of thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds and hail at some places in the country.

Rains coupled with thunderstorms and lightning will continue almost for a week since the water vapor is blowing towards north from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, added Paudel.

The MFD has predicted partly to generally cloudy weather throughout the country with chances of brief rain at some places of the eastern region and at a few places of the central and western region tonight.
