Govt takes necessary steps to tackle coronavirus



KATHMANDU: With the coronavirus continuing its march across the world, the Nepal government also taken necessary steps to tackle the deadly virus.

Nepal government has suspended flights to and from coronavirus-affected countries and put a ban on holding mass meetings.

Police Hospital and Nepal Police Headquarters have launched awareness programs to prevent people from the COVID19, according to DIG Shailesh Thapa.

Security personnel have been directed to use mask at the airport, during traffic checking, and in the crowd.

People have been advised to wash hands time and again, and not to shake hands as far as possible and do Namaste instead as part of the awareness program.

Meanwhile, the security meeting scheduled for March 6-7 in the Sudurpachchhim state has been postponed due to the coronavirus.

Likewise, the drunk-drive checking has been made less tightened.
