KATHMANDU: Nepal has defeated host Thailand by nine wickets in a cricket match of the ACC Easter Region T20 held at Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Thailand had made 66 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Chasing the 67-run target, Nepal achieved it in 5.3 overs by losing one wicket.
Nepal’s batsman Kushal Malla top-scored with 36 runs including two sixes and four fours off 18 balls.
Similarly, Pawan Sharraf made 27 runs including three sixes and two fours off 10 balls while opener Paras Khadka was out for 9 runs.
Thai batsmen Henno Jordaan and Chanchai made 13 runs each.
In reply, Nepal’s Kiran KC took three wickets, Avinash Bohara claimed two wickets while Bhuvan Karki and Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed one wicket each.
Nepal has already lost two matches held under the ACC Eastern Region Twenty20.
