KATHMANDU: Friends Club defeated New Road Team (NRT) 2-0 in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Tuesday.
At the match played at the Saatdobato-based ANFA Complex, Sanjog Maharjan and Wagner De Carmo scored a goal each for Friends.
Friends took lead in the second half with a goal from Maharjan in the 78th minute of the game. Carmo doubled the tally in the 81st minute of the game.
Ashim Bhushal of Friends was declared man of the match.
It is the fourth win for Friends that has been placed ninth in the points table with 14 points from 10 games.
NRT has been placed seventh with 15 points from 10 matches.
