Obstructed Bhimdutta Highway resumes

DOTI: Traffic along the Bhimdutta Highway obstructed since Friday evening due to snowfall has resumed.

The highway links seven hilly districts of the Sudurpaschim Province. The highway has resumed after 12 hours.

Vehicular movement on the highway connecting Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Darchula, Achham, Bajura and Doti was completely halted due to heavy snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous districts since Friday.

Hundreds of passengers heading to various destinations in those districts were stranded due to this.

Meanwhile, the ADSL and landline telephone service of Nepal Telecom has been disrupted in the hill districts of the Farwest province including in Doti due to the heavy snowfall.
