16 more succumb to COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll reaches 1,567



KATHMANDU: A total of 16 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll from the coronavirus to 1,567 as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,272 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 238,861 with fresh cases as of Friday afternoon.

A total of 1,575 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 221,847 in the country.

Nepal currently has 15,447 active cases.

Likewise, 537 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.
